Reactions with hope of some ACTION!

After the wooping number of cases another attack in Delhi screams out for help!

Sexual abuse cases, gang sexual assault  cases seem to be on an hyperbolic rise. The anger and frustration in the minds of young women seems to be unheard. Its like every time A women steps out in the world, there are five men waiting to punish her, torture her. And oh! the government reacts, makes eloquent speeches, many debates, mass reactions, trending twitter.......... days roll and bang there is one more gruesome crime ready to make a issue for few weeks!

The reactions from the Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi are at least evidence that they are watching. After a very nonchalant reaction from Delhi CM Sheila Dixit, it appeared the government was blind and deaf to yet another case of rape in the city.  Jaya Bachchan's pertinent question, Did the government offer condolences to the family of the victim?

Sonia Gandhi in her letter to Mrs Sheila Dikshit,  wrote, "I would urge you to take whatever steps are necessary to undertake community action, to strengthen law and order, and to step up vigilance to protect women. There is urgent need to demonstrate our sincerity and determination. You have my support and the support of our party organizations in whatever efforts you need to curb this menace."

Mrs. Gandhi's letter to Home Minister Shinde read, "This monstrous crime deserves not only universal condemnation but also the Government's most urgent attention.... I hope you initiate immediate action to remedy the situation."

Jaya Bachchan had asked a pertinent question? A question that we all as a community as a society need to answer.Jaya Bachchan today had an outburst in the parliament. She said, "Sir, I'm basically an artist and I'm very, very disturbed by it. What is going to happen to her? Everybody will forget but she will remember for the rest of her life. It will be a scar. It's a terrible mental torture. How are you going to repay for this?"

Wiping her tears and in choked up voice, she added, "Every day, women are getting raped by their fathers, their brothers, their uncles and it's a shame. We are bringing in bills for certain sections of society which are deprived. What about women who bring you into this world? Where is their protection."

She ended, "I'm ashamed. I personally feel very, very ashamed that I am sitting in this house and not being able to do anything and I am equally disturbed by the answers that keep coming to this house which are totally incorrect,".
